If you're closed minded then MLG is NOT for you.
If you dispute GB losses when you clearly just got out played then
MLG is NOT for you.
If you have to in any way cheat then MLG is NOT for you.
If you're this guy then America is NOT for you...though that has
absolutely nothing to do with todays commentary...

>>Cavell:
You can't be closed minded and be an MLG player. If you are closed
minded then again MLG is NOT for you.
An MLG player has to be open to receive from any and everyone they
play against. You have to watch everyone and not just the people you
want to be like.
I've said it multiple times but MLG with call of duty is basically
just competitive camping. Don't get me wrong these guys have massive
skill none the less but you have to accept it for what it is and
there is a lot of camping.
It ain't no *** campin, Im not a camper.
You, you're a camper.
All the time you put into figuring out spawns and call outs is to have
control of the game. If you want control of the game for any substantial
amount of time...you're going to become very good at camping.
Now when a lot of people think of camping now days they instantly think
of the black worm. He is without a doubt a camper but anyone into MLG
and pro gaming knows the huge difference between the two types.
I don't mean all pro players camp behind riot shields, but honestly when
it comes to winning you do what you have to. If it were legal I gurantee
you would see it no matter how gay you may think it is.
Hell for a million dollars let me call up the worm himself and get him
on my team!
But in all seriousness the MLG pro camping is a bit different but it's
still camping.
You figure out your opponents spawn point or you force them where you
want them to be then you just camp the area and control the game.
The keyword there is "camp" by the way.
You have to understand that once they get you in this very popular,
"spawn trap" their number 1 goal becomes to keep you there and maintain
dominance over you for as long as possible.
The second you all get out, their goal is going to be to get you back
in it.
I'm not going to touch to heavily on strategys at the moment but you have
to always be on the lookout for what can improve your game.
I was in a public free for all the other day and this guy was camping his
*** off but some of the spots he knew and controller were very good MLG
spots.
He didn't have the gun skill and awareness to stay in his spots long but
they are without doubt some place I'd have never thought of.
That is an instance where playing in a public match made me a better
competitive player.
Maybe your team is playing some domination and you all keep spawn trapping
the other team, but one guy keeps managing to escape it some how.
Figure out what that guy is doing. You may have a hole in your spawn trap,
or he may just be a genius at realizing patterns and finding ways out.
So many competitive players talk *** about pub matches and pub players
but the fact is there is always something you can learn from anyone,
anywhere so keep an open mind!
If you lose a GB and you cant man up and report immidiately no matter the
outcome then MLG is NOT for you.
I've run into this time and time again where teams are not man enough
to simply lose. Honestly as a competitor I take more from a loss than
I do from a victory because that mean I have more to work on and when
I improve in that area thats weak, I'll be even better than I already am.
But only a competitor will think this way. I had a 2v2 with Ask Krunk
I believe it was and basically me and krunk were on a losing streak
because we kept getting host booted.
I could have disputed the games yea but I don't care enough to honestly,
it was 2v2 so not worth the time. Then we played 1 team and they
were not prepared to boot us because of our record they assumed we were
just horrible.
So needless to say, we destroyed them.
I reported the game and that we won but they disputed it. Luckily enough
they didnt know I recorded the game and I had proof we won which I
instantly submitted just in case.
So after I had already submitted the proof I sent them a message and
said you all are horrible, we have proof we won so no matter what
your taking the loss.
These idiots hit me offline but the let krunk stay online. What made
them so stupid is that, they told krunk to tell me they were not
going to let me back online until I resolve the dispute and say they
won.
The main reason this is stupid is because if they hit me offline
I cant access the internet...so how the hell did they expect that to
work out.
Second reason that was stupid is because someone in my home works
for the government. If they would have kept doing it they would have
been surprised how serious the government might have taken that.
Over a game they could have ruined their lives. You dont know who
your messing with so why bother people because you cant take a loss.
Needless to say I refused their off we got our first win on this
team that was undefeated. They had like 17 wins I believe not sure.
My point of the story and all that is. Basically even though they
hit me offline...I'm still better than them. The second I get back
online I'll still out play them because I am a better player.
Cheating gets you know where. It does not make you a better player.
I'd never lie and say that im the best because honestly my team
got destroyed by another GB team just last week. But what did I do?
I asked them how they got so good. They were cool enough to respond
telling me everything they do and what they thought we could do
better.
I'm far better this week than I was last week just by asking 1 team
what I can work on.
Losing is great because you can always go to the team that beat you
for some advice if their nice guys. You have the chance to learn.
If you *** on everyone all the time you never learn more. It may be
working but no one or no team knows everything. Losing is good for
any team. Its healthy.
I accidently covered both of my last 2 points honestly in one.
More story had an example of a team who couldnt man up and report
and at the same time cheated by host booting.
If you host boot, hack, lag switch, mod or any form of cheating then
MLG is NOT for you.
If you aspire to be more and take your gaming career higher then
strive for it and do it the right way. No short cut can give you
the true results you want. I'd rather have 0 wins and 100 losses
but consistently see myself improving than to have 100 wins
and 0 losses and have to cheat any time I cross a good team.
Believe in yourself, dont fall into these categories, and believe in
your team. Not to long ago I made a video on how to make an MLG
team. You can check that out if you want and stay tuned for a little
more advice and MLG tips.
I'm someone who loves to learn from everyone I meet and learn as much
as I can. I'll gladly share all I learn with you all.
