Hello everybody, I am Denny Cristales the news editor for Talon Marks and today we are
going to look at the snowy day event hosted by the Child Development center. We're going
to look at kids and family having a nice time here with the snow and everything and people
sliding down and all the other events that are happening so we're going to look on whats
going on.
Denny Cristales: I am here with liberal studies major Melissa Bueno or as she most commonly
known as Bueno the Magnificent, just describe to me how it was being up there and performing
with the kids and with them being so enthusiastic about it.
Melissa Bueno: I'm actually very very shy in front of people. I get stage fright a lot.
when I was up there, I basically did it for the kids and just to see them smile and I
meant that's what I did.I'm not a magician, I just did whatever I could to make them happy
and make this event better, it was nerve wrecking but it was all worth it.
Denny Cristales: How did you think the Snow day is going so far? You have snow painting,
ice fishing, kids going down on the slides, how do you think its going so far?
Melissa Bueno: I think its going magnificent actually. Its going awesome. There's smiles
everywhere so that's a good thing.
Denny Cristales: Just describe to me as a parent, watching your kid participate in all
the activities, how was it watching him being involved?
Carmina Weir: I mean its so much fun, because he's socializing with the other kids over
here. They learn how to play with each other instead of fighting. They have been having
a lot of fun going down the slide. and throwing the snowballs so they been really enjoying
themselves today, its a little chilly, it was a little warmer during the day but it
is a snow day.
Denny Cristales: How are you enjoying the event Joshua?
Joshua Weir: Good
Denny Cristales: What do you like most about it?
Joshua Weir: All Good
Denny cristales: Do you like playing in the snow?
Joshua Weir: Yes
Denny Cristales: Whats the most favorite thing you've done so far?
Joshua Weir: I've been going on the tubes.
Denny Cristales: In all of the tubes?
Joshua Weir: Yeah
Denny Cristales: Did you like the magic show?
Joshua Weir: Yeah I did and it showed Elsa too
Carmina Weir: Elsa too??
Joshua Weir: And snow flakes too!
Denny Cristales: And that concludes the snowy day event. We had a lot of events happen here
tonight with tacos, ice fishing, snow painting, and even some dancers.
It truly was a winter wonderland. I've been Denny Cristales, your news editor, reporting
the action.
