People who have an AF-related
stroke, it's usually a much more serious one which often means that they can't go back
to their own homes without care or maybe they need to go into a nursing home and this also
puts extra burden on their families. National governments should do their best to increase
access to technologies that are able to prevent, diagnose and treat AF and AF-related strokes.
I would say that it's very important that national stroke registries record accurately
when people have had an AF-related stroke and also record the outcomes and then we can
better monitor and assess the problem.
