I started working in the ambulance when I was very young.
And I love my job. I love helping people.
I worked as a physician assistant back then, I worked on a cardiology team.
I noticed
that a very pretty girl was standing there. She was a physician assistant.
And somehow this left an impression on my heart right away.
After that, we started seeing each other regularly.
So working in the ambulance helped me find my wife.
That was in 1976.
We got married in the summer of '76, and from then on
we always rode our bikes together.
I loved that.
So obviously, when we met and found out that this was something we both liked to do,
it made us happy and we started biking together.
But, we come here...
to walk.
Now only either to walk,
or when we go to the theater,
or to the museum.
For me, it's peaceful here in St. Petersburg.
For other people coming from different cities,
they think that everything is fast-paced here.
So...we got used to living here.
I mean, I wasn't really a religious person,
but I always knew, that God brought us together.
Mostly, I knew that He blessed us with love for each other,
and this love still exists.
Which ones? Why? Let them grow.
Here is our Yulia,
a wonderful girl.
And for her whole life, all 14 years, she always had a light...
Exactly, so much light. You can even see it in this picture.
When Yulia was gone,
we were without joy, without anything...
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
helped me realize that if someone is gone from this life,
it doesn't necessarily mean that they're gone forever.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ truly brought me
and my wife back to life.
That's why we are now happy people in spite of what we went through.
I'm a happy man.
I love my job.
I have a wonderful family.
My name is Mikhail Zaretskiy.
And I'm a Mormon.
