Are you still using store-bought dressing on your salads?
Why?
Get rid of the additives, protect your wallet
and prepare your own dressing in only a few minutes.
Salad dressings are super easy to make
and they're so versatile.
A thousand and one creations are possible.
Let your imagination take flight.
Just remember the 3 to 1 ratio:
3 parts oil to 1 part vinegar or acidic component.
There are oils and vinegars for every taste.
But if you like olive oil like I do,
I'm going to prepare one of my favorite vinaigrettes.
First, a tablespoon of Sherry vinegar,
one teaspoon shallots,
salt to taste,
and 3 tablespoons olive oil.
I mix it and... it's ready!
You can always add a teaspoon of your favorite herbs,
chopped right before adding them,
so they keep their flavor and color.
In this case, I'm adding mint.
