The Associate in Arts Degree at Saint Paul College, the AA Degree,
is the first two years of a baccalaureate degree.
“Hi! This is Ayesha Shariff from the History Department at Saint Paul College.”
The liberal arts and sciences department is made up of four major areas
English and speech, math and science, social and behavioral sciences and fine arts and humanities.
Students are required to have a certain number of credits in each area and then
that serves as the general education requirements for the four year degree.
So a student who’s interested in a specific area will enroll
in twenty credits to help prepare for the pre-major and major.
So from the moment they enter Saint Paul College, our goal
is to help them design a degree in their area of interest that
that will transfer to the four year institution of their choice.
“I decided to become a student here at Saint Paul College and continue on my communication journey.”
We think about education for life, education for employment but most people are looking for a job.
And for those that know a college degree is required for the job,
the students can start here, take the first two years
and then transfer to a four year institution and complete the last two years.
They’re prepared for the job that they want to enter into and
it is a wonderful way for students to get started in a career.
