This is the pipe cleaner fish that we'll be making today it's made up the majority of
it is pipe cleaners. This project is a little bit more involved. Involves children with
more developed fine motor skills. So either younger children three to five should do this
with a parent or older children probably five, seven and up could handle this on their own.
There's a couple of choking hazards on this the pipe cleaners especially when they're
cut, the googly eyes are always a choking hazard and some of the sharp edges on the
edges of the pipe cleaners but those can be trimmed down or rounded off. There are a lot
of options with this project, it could be larger, smaller you could have multiples of
them, make them into a mobile. Also there's a lot of options as far as hanging them and
displaying them in your house. They're a lot of fun, they can use a lot of different materials
and you can really let your imagination run wild on this. As far as constructing them,
there's a lot of twisting and a lot of time involved in actually making the body nice
and solid. So you want to make sure that the kids have some time, enough space and the
patience to get this project done.
