Hey guys, Chloe in for Aspire! This week we've got a trio of items designed to maximize your
winter fun. Stick around while we check out an amazing splitboarding solution, an unmanned
drone perfect for capturing footage on the hill and the jacket that'll keep you warm
and stylish while you're out in the cold.
All coming up on Aspire! First up, anyone who snowboards knows that
once the adrenaline-fuelled ride comes to an end, you've gotta grab a lift to get back
to the top and do it again. But what if you could hike back to your favorite spot without
having to ditch your board? If that sounds like a dream come true then check Splitsticks
from Ride Infinite. Splitsticks offers an all-round solution to splitboarding. In Ride
Mode, it functions as your snowboard. With a few quick adjustments you can split it into
Hike Mode and you'll be ready to climb back up the hill or give Ski Mode a shot and skate
across any flat surfaces with ease. The versatile Splitsticks come in three different lengths
and are compatible with boots sized 40-45. Bindings are available in three different
colors to fit the base plate which is adjustable in length in 4 steps. Splitsticks also features
a traditionally cambered tail, floaty nose, and good flex pattern. So next time you're
out shredding powder, use this splitboarding solution and enjoy the freedom to start your
ride wherever you want!
Next up, the GoPro revolution is here to stay now that videographers can shoot versatile,
4K video with a camera that fits in your pocket. And the holy grail of GoPro shooting has got
to be killer aerial shots, but those aren't easy to get if you're not great at flying
aerial drones. Well, now you can get those gorgeous, eye-catching shots without being
an ace pilot. Check out the Lehmann LA100 - the world's first GoPro UAV platform. Mount
your GoPro 2 or 3 to the top or bottom of this lightweight drone and send it off on
a preplanned 5 minute flight and wait patiently for it to come back with some jaw-dropping
footage. The LA100 can reach heights of up to 100 metres, or 30 stories, and was designed
to function in extreme conditions, anywhere from -25 all the way up to a sticky, humid
60 degrees. With so many GoPros out there, the only way to distinguish your footage from
the rest is to have shots that no one else can get. So if that's worth $1300 to you or
your production company, then you may want to test out the Lehmann LA100!
And finally, all the cool gadgets in the world won't put a smile on your face if your busy
freezing your *** off. So you're gonna need a coat and when it comes to dealing with the
cold, we'll trust a Canadian company. Check out the 2013 lineup of jackets from Moose
Knuckles. These guys weave a premium, killer jacket all while celebrating their Canuck
heritage with style and humor. Just check out their website. You'll find an assortment
of coats perfect for any kind of winter activity and some photos that'll make you forget why
you're there in the first place. Their Stirling Jacket, which happens to be our favorite,
comes with a detachable fox-fur hood, windflaps, silver rivets, and is packed with enough down
- 620 CC's per ounce actually - to keep you nice and cozy while you're out braving the
elements. Style doesn't outweigh performance here and neither come cheap, so be ready to
drop about 800 bucks for a winter Moose Knuckle jacket - unless of course you opt for one
of the gold series jackets - but either way you'll know that you won't freeze to death
while getting that sweet GoPro footage of your best splitboard run!
