Hi. Im Morgan Thompson from Redbook Magazine. And the new year is in full
swing. And I've got all the great beauty buys to get you started on all the beauty
resolutions that you want to make sure you do this year.
So we're going to start with our skincare regimen. Taking care of your skin is one of
the easiest things you can do. And it's also one of the most important parts of your
beauty regimen because it all starts with great skin. But unfortunately it's also
one of those things that a lot of people neglect. So Vaseline has made it easy for women who
no longer have to choose between what they want and what they need from a moisturizer.
The new improved Vaseline Total Moisture line is range of lotions that do good and feel
good. There's three different variants and they all have thicker formulas. Each combines
the goodness of pure naturals with the power of the Stratus-3 Multi-Layer Moisture Complex
along with enhanced scents and bright bold packaging. Now you can use these lotions every
day and you can find them at your local food, drug and mass retailers. It's an important
thing to note that when it comes to moisturizer, you should use it immediately after a shower
or bath. This is when your pores are open, your skin is moist and it'll absorb that
moisturizer so much better. It'll really lock it in.
Now your skin isn't the only thing that
can get dry or thirsty. Especially around the winter time, your hair can get dry and
thirsty as well. Even if you have healthy hair, you can sometimes get dehydrated. So
in order to quench that thirst, we love Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge. This is a brand new
line by Garnier and it's packed with encapsulated super fruit beads including goji berry, passion
fruit and kiwi, all filled with vitamins and amino acids. It gives you that intense burst
of hydration. It instantly recharges normal to dry hair, making it smooth, silky and super
hydrated. But the key here is that it's not heavy, so we love the fact that you can
walk around not feeling like you have a ton of product on your hair. It's definitely
weightless. They also have a great product called Hydra Recharge One Minute Moisture
Replenish Treatment. Now this is powerful. It gives you ten times the amount of moisture
in just one minute. All the products in this line are between four to six bucks and you
can find them at your local drugstore.
Other beauty tips include drink more water. I can't say it enough. It's really the
number one beauty tip. And the average person isn't drinking enough. If you're not
drinking at least eight 8-oz glasses of water a day, you're actually considered dehydrated.
So please drink up!
Also, eat a balanced diet, including those green leafy vegetables and lots of nuts and
fruits of course.
When it comes to really organizing all your beauty supplies, I talked about these great
products like Vaseline and Garnier, so when you're purchasing new products, make sure
you throw out the old. So check the expiration dates on all you cosmetics, makeup, skincare,
all that stuff, your hair care. If it's expired, toss it. If it smells strange, changed
color or just doesn't look right, it's time to get it out of your medicine cabinet.
And a great way to kind of reorganize everything is to use glass jars. That way you can see
all of your stuff. You can put cotton balls, razor blades in there. You can put your makeup
brushes, all your beauty tools. That way you see everything you got and it actually looks
really pretty on your bathroom counter. It's a nice way to decorate.
Also, when it comes to throwing things out,
check out your closet as well. I know you probably have things in there that you haven't
worn in over a year its time to toss it. Give it to Goodwill, have a style swap with your
friends. Anything with a hole in it or that's torn, definitely just throw those things out.
It's a new year, new you! This is a great time to get started on switching up
your beauty routine and getting organized. You can always go to redbookmag.com and check
