When can you resume regular exercise after a breast enlargement procedure? Well, actually,
and really straight from your operation, we like you to exercise and move around, keep
the blood going in the legs. Because this is going to really limit the risk of you developing
a clot, which is called a venous thrombosis, in the leg.
From day one we like you to move around and keep everything going, but we don't like you
to resume really strenuous activity for at least three to four weeks following your breast
enlargement procedure.
At a week we'll get you in, check all the incision, check everything is okay. From then
we'd encourage you to walk, keep mobile, and after three to four weeks begin, gently, your
exercise regime. But, we will give you very detailed instructions. We like you to start
with lower body, gentle cardio-vascular. Don't like you to do too much weights or upper body
at this stage.
We'll give you really detailed instructions about what to do, what not to do, what bras
to wear and the time sequence when you should be resuming activities.
