Okay, so we've thrown a basic plant pot here, and as you can see it's very thin around the
edge. We could have taken care of this in a number of ways, but you want...you want
some clay up here, because you don't want it to be too thin, because you could tip it
against something and crack it. So we could have just pulled it up and left a bunch of
clay at the top, but we are stretching out the top, so that's kind of hard to do. So
what we want, is we want to create a nice, thick lip. And what we're going to do for
this is take the top of the clay...simply going to bend it over on itself. And then
tuck it in.
We want to squeeze it quite hard, and also go from the top edge down, so that we get
any air bubbles that might be trapped inside there out. Now you can see, we've created
a nice, big top lip for this plant pot. What I'm going to do now is take that little piece
of leather I was talking about earlier that I found, and I'm just going to run it over
the edge of this thing here to smooth it all out. So there you can see, we've thrown what
looks to be a very nice, little plant pot, and I'm going to show you the last things
you need to do before you put this in the drying cabinet, and we'll be getting to that
in just a moment.
