Hi and welcome back to our video tutorial series on Microsoft word 2010
In this video I want to show you how to use the border or bulleting and numbering commands
So you can see here I’ve got a list of names. I’m going to highlight those and my bulleting and numbering tools are right up here
Any bulleted or numbered list can be turned into a multilevel list just simply by applying the style and tabbing the items in. so you’ll see that in just a little bit
Also notice that all of these buttons are split buttons. Which means I can click on the button itself and whatever the default is will be applied
Or I can click the drop down arrow and select from any of these options. For example let’s say I wanted to check marks. I can click on that and now you see I’ve got check marks
Or If I wanted a different numbering style, I can select this and now I’ve got roman numerals
So a lot of different options for what you can do. Whatever you set last will actually be the default
So If I click on this arrow right here, even if I change this to numbers and I go back to this it will put that last bullet style
So that is the basics of using bulleting and numbering inside of Microsoft 2010
