Hello everyone. If you're the sort of person that loves tech news you're going to really like this app.
It's called Appy Geek.
So if you've ever used Flipboard, which a lot of people are familiar with, where you can kind
of have curated news delivered to you throughout the day, fitting into various
categories etcetera,
it's like that but dedicated to technology. What could be better? So you might
think to yourself well why? If you've got Flipboard why would you want Appy Geek, you could choose one or the other really
so I got rid of Flipboard, focussing on Appy Geek
because what I've found out is the news it curates for me is really really useful. It actually finds the
stuff that I want to read.
And more importantly, throughout the day, if a really hot news story breaks, it gives you
an alert for it.It has its own nice little message tone as well which is
quite distinct from any of the other stuff that's appeared on the handsets before so you
always know it's an alert from Appy Geek.
The whole way the system is being put together this application is just
beautifully particularly slickly done.
So there's all the stories coming in, you can then browse through them.
This is the story.
You've then got your search options and various settings here, you can set the mood for stories
as well so that if you want a particular story based on, you know, how you're feeling that day,
you want a happy story, sad story or something, the system with prioritise those kinds of
stories it shows you
but as you can see, just a really nice slick
application. You can swipe left to right to move between the stories within sequence
or go all the way back up to the top again and carry on browsing through and it
shows you which ones you've actually read each day as well by greying them out.
Videos, stuff by mood and then
specifically by technology types companies or particular products.
And you can then obviously add new ones if you want to as well.
It's just a really really simple yet highly effective app for rounding up all
of the news and it's tuned
for geeks. Perfection.
