What did I learn painting? I'll tell you what I learned.
I learned about life. I learned
that you gotta work hard
and that it's no joke you really
have to put forth
all your effort and strength to get anything done
the whole project was really something beautiful and incredible
I mean, I cant even,
you know, begin to describe
the feeling of awe in
our aspirations and what finally
came
to happen when we really put our minds to getting stuff done.
Yes, there were mistakes.
that had to be corrected constantly. We barely got our
painting done on time.
But we got there, you know.
We really got there.
I don't care what anybody says
about propagation of imagination, I will
always love it and will have a place in my heart because it
changed my life
and made me somebody different.
I learned how much a little bit of black can go.
in making a color so
dark
you have to start over
and waste a bunch of valuable
acrylic paint
and start all over again.
I learned about how important it is
to know what you're doing at the beginning and take some grey
first and then
mix some other colors into it.
Otherwise, you're just gonna get confused and
try to mix the colors grey and blue a
million times over.
Being mindful of the intensity
as well as what kind paint
you're using, whether it's tempera or
acrylic or whatever. It's all so important
in communicating with your
audience because students
walking around in the Student Center
of GGC are gonna see propagation of imagination
and they're gonna look it and they're gonna gonna say, "You know,
Those people painting,
they were really doing something."
Never forget.
Never forget.
