Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!
I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today I will draw an angel with a different 3D effect.
To begin, I draw the line of the horizon. (I think my camera is a little bit tilted.)
Then the border of the abyss.
Now I do some lines that go to a vanishing point in the horizon,
to give the illusion of perspective.
And with a longer ruler, or in this case, with a pole, I do the lines from the canyon,
that will merge at about 3 feet from the paper,
which is where the person looking at the drawing, at the end will be.
Now FINALLY I outline my angel.
Her legs are long, otherwise when viewing the drawing from the correct angle, they would
appear too short.
Ok. Lets view it from the angle I was talking about and see how it is looking so far.
It begins to show perspective, dont you think?
It is time to do some detail.
I draw some clouds which are a little bit dramatic [chuckles].
And smudge them with a brush.
With a kneaded eraser I pull some lights.
I begin shading.
Here will be the shadow of the angel.
For a better contrast I do the background a little bit darker and also
I delineate the figure and wings.
Lets check it from the other viewpoint.
I am going to do one more thing hoping I am not going to ruin the whole drawing...
I will carefully fold it at the horizon line.
Ok! Please let me know what do you think about it.
