A southern favorite for generation, Fried Dill Pickles, also known as
Frickles, are a fun crispy appetizer perfect for any weekend get together.
And they're as easy to make as 1, 2, 3!
Step One: Slice the pickles.
Cut whole dill pickles into quarter inch slices, and set aside.
Step Two: Make the batter and flour coating.
In a small bowl, mix flour, milk, eggs, and Worcestershire sauce.
In a separate bowl, stir together flour, salt and pepper.
In a deep skillet, or fryer, heat oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step Three: Dip, dredge, and fry.
Dip each pickle slice into the batter, then dredge through the flour mixture
until coated.
Carefully place the battered pickles in the hot oil.
Avoid overcrowding by frying in several batches.
Fry the pickles until they float to the surface and turn golden brown.
Then remove the frickles with a slotted spoon,
and drain on paper towels.
After your fried pickles have cooled, serve them with a creamy dipping
sauce of your choice.
And wash them down with a cold beer, or iced tea.
