[theme music, narrator] Welcome to This Week @Minnesota.
The Minnesota Gophers Men's Hockey team beat North Dakota
twice last weekend for their first home sweep
of UND since 2002.
Monday, United States College Hockey Online ranked the Gophers
as the number one team in the country.
The last time the Gophers played as the number one team was 2008.
Minnesota is 9-1-0 on the year, which is its best start
since the beginning of the 2001-02 season.
The Gophers are also 6-0-0 in the WCHA for the first time
since the 1994-95 season.
The Gophers take on the Badgers in Wisconsin
on Friday and Saturday.
Thursday, the U honored the service of student veterans
with an appreciation event.
Student veteran Micah Ternet spoke about his experiences
as a service member and student.
President Eric Kaler told stories of another student vets
and talked about his father who was in the Air Force.
[Kaler] My father was a veteran; 21+ years as an NCO
in the Air Force, including a tour of duty in Vietnam
when I was eleven years old.
So, I do understand what veterans do, what they have done
and the impact that that service has both
on the individual and on the family.
Northrop Dance presents the U.S. premier of Wonderland.
Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet's dynamic reinterpretation
