You may have heard that GeorgiaView Vista is going away.
We're here to tell you about the new system, Desire2Learn.
I'm David... >> and I'm Emily. We're trainers in ITS
here at KSU. In January 2013, Georgia VIEW Vista is being
replaced with another Learning Management System: Desire2Learn, or D2L. All your Spring
2013 classes will be available in D2L. David's going to tell you how to log in.
>>You'll access D2L from your web browser. Let's take a look!
The URL is d2l.kennesaw.edu
Click the log in link, and enter your NetID and password.
This is the D2L home page. You'll see all your courses listed here. Just click on the
name of the course you want to go in to.
Now you're at the Course home page. This is where you'll access all the tools for
your course. Now Emily is going to show you some of the features in your course.
>>The course calendar is on the left. You can see there's an upcoming exam.
In the middle, you'll see the Content Browser. Click a folder to see what's inside. There
may be links to files, discussion topics, dropboxes to turn in assignments, or other
important stuff.
I can also click Content, Discussions, Dropbox, or Quizzes to access these course tools.
My professor can post announcements to News, on the right side of the course home page.
I can also see that I have a new email.
After I've read my email, I'll click Course Home to go back to the course home page.
>> By the way... you can also access courses from your Android device, or iPad.
Remember, in January 2013, you'll be able to access all your D2L Courses.
>>If you have questions, you can contact the Student Help Desk.
>>Thanks for watching. >>Bye y'all.
