We begin this Thursday evening in Berlin where President Park Geun-hye has kicked off the
third day of her state visit to Germany. She started off the day by looking around
art and photo exhibits that represent unification and freedom.
The Korean president stopped by Berlin's East Side Gallery, which is what's left of the
Berlin Wall. More than 1-hundred artists from around the
world painted murals there to commemorate the 1989 fall of the Berlin Wall that led
to German unification. President Park also visited a photo exhibition
that compares scenes from the demilitarized zone on the Korean peninsula and Germany's
Grunes Band , which is now an ecological park. The president had proposed turning the DMZ
that divides the two Koreas into something similar.
