Are you a Cascadia Community College student or employee wondering how to use the Campus Library?
Cascadia and the UW Bothell share the Campus Library, which is part of the University of Washington libraries system.
You have access to books, DVDs, hundreds of online databases, reserve readings, and many
other library services, available at the library or online.
To get started, follow the steps listed in our Cascadia New Student checklist,
available at http://library.uwb.edu/cccnewstudent.html.
Step One is to set up your Cascadia Network Account.
Your Network Account will provide access to your network file space and will allow you to create a UW NetID.
For help setting up this account, visit the Open Learning Center, in building CC2, room 60 on the lower level.
You can also create your student network account online at:
https://accounts.student.cascadia.edu/.
Here you can create and manage your student network account, re-set or change your password and look up your username.
If you are a Cascadia employee: Your supervisor will give you your network account information.
Step Two is to get your Cascadia Student ID card, which is also your Library card!
You can get your Student ID in the Kodiak Corner/Student Services Center on the first floor of CC1,
or the Open Learning Center (in CC2 room 060).
Step Three is to set up your UW NetID.
With a UW NetID, you can access your online Library account, Electronic Reserves (online course readings),
and Library databases from off-campus.
Please note that you will need to wait about 24 hours after registering for classes before you will be able to create a NetID.
When you click on the library website’s off- campus access button, you will see the UW NetID login page.
Click on “Need a UW Net ID?”
Select “I don't have a UW NetID” and click “Next.”
Select “Cascadia Student” or “Cascadia Employee” and click “Next.”
Enter your Cascadia network user name and password, then click "Login."
Follow the onscreen instructions to create a UW NetID and password.
Your newly created NetID will become active within 24 hours.
Staff at the Library are happy to help you set up your NetID. Stop by the library or click “Ask Us a Question” for more options.
Bring your Cascadia Student ID card to the front desk on the first floor of the Campus Library.
Step Four, the final step, is to activate your Library Card.
You will also be asked to provide your preferred email address for receiving due date reminders, hold pickup notices, and overdue notices.
After following these steps, you should now have access to Campus Library services!
Come see us at the Campus Library and if you have any questions, please ASK US.
