and I'm going to show you how to make salsa with cilantro
which chelates heavy metals in your body
We have looked at natural chelation using cilantro chelation.
Cilantro chelation simply means eating cilantro pesto as part of our everyday meals.
Similar ingredients are found in salsa so I thought I'll tie up salsa
with natural chelation as well.
For a quick recap
chelation is the removal of heavy metals like lead, mercury
and aluminium from our blood
Heavy metals in the body have been linked to cancer,
Alzheimer's disease, brittle bones and slow development in children,
among other negative effects. Usually chelation therapy means a visit to a hospital
with the doctor carrying out the procedure with needles.
Needless to say i would anyday choose a painless method
of detox. No hospitals, doctors and needles for me.
More so, if it involves eating delicious and healthy foods which double up
and remove the nasties from our body.
Here's a quick recipe for salsa using cilantro, garlic and onion. All three are great for
aluminium detox and for chelating other heavy metals like mercury and lead.
Garlic, as an added bonus, has anti-bacterial properties and is an antioxidant as well.
This recipe can be included for natural chelation therapy as part of
a simple detox program at home.
Here are the ingredients for salsa:
Chopped tomatoes, coriander
since spring onions which have a chelating effect.
Some sliced onions, garlic,
olive oil,
salt and lemon juice.
Chop up the cilantro,
and spring onions
That's about it.
Get a bowl.
Put in the tomatoes,
mix the coriander,
spring onions,
cut up the garlic,
add the onions,
give it a quick mix,
a little salt,
squeeze some lemon juice,
and a splash of olive oil.
The salsa is done.
Stick that in the fridge for a couple of hours to let the flavours mellow really well.
It is ready to eat with some corn chips, or as part of a meal
with some grilled meats/fish.
