Hi there! This is Steph from eMagCreator.
This tutorial will give new toolbox users, or those who just need a refresher, the basics to get started.
First off, open your pdf in toolbox mode.
You have several main boxes in the toolbox view.
Work area, tools, properties, and quick features.
These boxes can be minimized and accessed as needed.
In work area, you can select the layer you would like to place the content onto.
On page will place any content you add onto the selected page of your eMag.
Background places the content behind your eMag.
And foreground places the content in front of your eMag.
Make sure the layer you want is selected before placing any content.
Quick features allow you to insert multimedia in your eMag.
Each option is covered in the quick features tutorial.
In properties, you can access many different options.
You can optimize your publication for a certain screen resolution,
you can choose which document view you would like,
change the look of your navigational buttons,
change the language, or choose a rendering profile.
Rendering, in a basic sense, makes text appear clearer when zoomed to any level.
Adding a background image, flash, or solid color can also be done from here.
From properties, you can also access the events tab.
You can assign actions from here that correspond with a particular event, such as a mouse click, or even the initial opening of the eMag.
Please check out our in-depth tutorial on events for more information.
Tools has all of the options you need for adding and embedding content and navigation,
anchoring, and more.
You can preview your eMag at any time, to see your changes in action.
And publish using the wizard or a publishing profile.
This has been a basic introduction to creating an eMag with toolbox.
Please check out our other tutorials that explain many of the options available in toolbox in more detail.
And provide detailed examples.
Bye for now!
