after one was shot in Hamilton at the weekend.

Moana Hingston is talking about
the crime that affects these stores in recent days.
One keeper was shot recently in Hamilton,
and then hit over the head with a hammer.
Moana says if police can not protect their staff
then they will have to take matters into their own hands.
Neil Patel is the spokesperson for the NZ Association of Dairies .
He says the government needs to amend the law
to protect store owners.
Two years ago in Auckland, a store keeper was shot in the face.
So this is a warning to all store keepers.
Moana agrees that the government needs to strengthen laws
to protect store keepers in future.
