Welcome to first test on Windows 8
This is Windows 8 Developer Preview
This is just for your first testing
We can see that it is cool!
This is the first screen after you start Windows 8
All the small square are called Tile
and these tiles are the actual applications
now first we take a look at Internet Explorer
Ok. We are running Internet Explorer 10.
now we try gsmarena.com
this is the first testing on Windows 8 Developer Preview
which is just release this afternoon
Most of the application are running in full screen
we can go back to the previous application
by dragging it back in from this left side of the screen
to go back to start menu
we go down here at the bottom left corner of the screen
then click on start, then we're back to home applications
the interface are all new
the old interface application is Files Explorer App
when are click on it, it'll start just like Windows 7
we got desktop just like before
we got drive C: or D: as usual
and it a bit odd that we have 2 Internet Explorer
we also got another Internet Explorer in here
separately from the home screen
yeah, TWO Internet Explorers in Windows 8
when we click on start, we got back
and here is the Weather forecast
and this is Stock
Weather
this is just a few important thing of Windows 8
which should be released sometime soon
one problem that i notice here is that
in this Windows 8 Developer Preview doesn't have Mail yet
but for other apps, it works well
like this News, we can add any RSS feed
like now i just added Dap-News.com
so we can read news easily here
there's one problem that we cannot use Khmer Unicode yet
Tweetrama is a twitter application
for the first running, we need to log in twitter account
we can see that it's working
Socialite
is a facebook application
but it seems not working here
i also have tried Internet Explorer
i cannot open facebook.com page
we continue
let me try
Piano
this is the first time i open it
so i dunno how it runs yet
but we can see that most of the interface
is just like Windows Phone 7
Picstream
is a Flickr application
to view or upload photos to Flickr
this is the application that we just ran
when we move to the left side of the screen it'll appear
now we wait for flickr to load
if we want to go back to previous application
just drag it back
we are running 3 applications now
let's go back to start
let's go in...
mostly are games
ok let's try Alarm clock
the interface Windows 8 is pretty
it's simple look
the alarm time we set
ok. Notespace
when we move down here we'll see the clock, date, battery
Notespace is for taking notes
we can draw
just a simple note
we're just see the interface
and some function that Windows 8 can do
the interface is cool
if we have email, everything will be linked with our email
when we signed in from the beginning
ok, we can go check control panel
if you have used Windows Phone 7
you can see that the usage is similar to it
here are some settings, it's not fully working well
coz it is just a preview version
we can do search
if we want to search an Application
we can go to search and type in the name of the application
example now i'm looking Calculator application
so we type Cal
now we see the calculator application
or we can also search for file
but this is new windows, so we don't have any file yet
