COMPUTER TV
You guys probably have no idea what you're looking at,
but what you are looking at is the EVGA Hydro Copper 16 Clear Top GTX 280.
So it's your regular old, GTX 280, but guess what,
they get a vanilla board and they get a factory certified technician,
to test the card, make sure that it works at the higher,
factory frequencies and to install this massive,
copper water block. So if you have a liquid cooling system.
in your computer, you're gonna love this. Now I've already done,
the Hydro Copper 16, but this is the Clear Top.
They replaced the top with acrylic,
so you get to actually see your fluid going through there,
which is kind of interesting. You also get to see the pattern,
on their heat exchanger, which just happens to look,
exactly like the E in their logo. Apparently it works very efficiently,
with that logo. So excellent card,
great factory overclock on it, but it will overclock much further.
What's really nice on this card is that A. it's liquid cooled,
and it's pre- liquid cooled ready. You don't have to worry about,
installing a block, messing with your board.
It's done by a technician, it's certified. It's certified,
to work at those overclocks. It'll go further.
You get 24/7 support, and you get lifetime warranty.
So this is gonna be an expensive card,
for you guys out there but, if you are a high end user,
with liquid cooling, you're still l gonna want something like this,
plus the fact that, the price/performance ratio
goes through the roof, when you realize that
you're getting a lifetime warranty as well as
customer support that's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,
from EVGA. Let's go and talk about
some of the specs on this card. You know, before I go into the,
actual numbers of the core clock and the shader clock,
I am gonna show you a quick tour of the board.
You can see it's still dual slot design,
as far as the expansion ports goes.
But looking at the card itself, it's actually very thin.
So it is much more like a single slot solution, except that
it is gonna be taking 2 on the back.
This lets you get more air flow between the cards,
to cool all the other stuff on the board,
that's not water cooled. But I'll tell you what,
just about everything on here is water cooled.
The voltage regulators, all the, the GPU and the shaders,
it's all cooled and even the back even has this,
back play cooler which helps add even more cooling,
and it is connected from here to the water block,
through copper connection. You can actually see it,
right there, there is a copper tube, very nice.
Nice heat pipe right there. Let me go show you the back now.
Like usually you get Dual, dual linked DVI's right there.
They do dual linked monitors, 2560x1600 Maximum Resolution.
You have an S-Video output, that is the digital.
If you wanna go out to a TV, that's a great way to do it.
You get 1080i right through there. This is your bus right here.
This is a PCI Express 2.0, X16 so it's nice if you have
PCI Express 2.0, if not, it will still work in PCI X16.
Now looking over here, let's look at the power.
Power is interesting because you're gonna need that
8 pin PCS Express connector. In the event that you don't have it,
you can convert to, 6 Pin PCI Express connector,
into one 8 PCI Express connector, and if you don't have the 6 Pin,
you can convert 2 Molex to one 6 Pin PCI Express,
but can I remind you do need to have both of these so,
you want to plug that in. You're gonna need a lot of power.
550 Watt is minimum is what is required by EVGA,
and from NVIDIA from this card, it doesn't hurt to have more,
but you should be able to get away with 500, no problem.
40 amps of current on the 12 volt rail is the minimum,
so that is a lot. What else can I show you.
This is your SLI connector, right there.
So if you wanna do dual or triple SLI it's not a problem.
And this thing will overclock like crazy. If you're gonna do folding,
at home, with the application that the video came out with,
using the video cards, GPU processing. You have,
3 of these and they're water cooled and overclocked.
Pretty high scores, I'm gonna go ahead and say.
Let me talk to you about the frequencies.
I wanna talk to you about factory versus,
the overclocked frequencies, that it comes with,
and what you can do, if you've further overclocked it,
depending on your card. Now, factory Core Clock for
GTX 280 is 602. Now in this one it's 691.
So that's a big increase in the overclock.
You also go from 1296 MHz on the Shader Clock to 1458,
on this one. That's very very fast. And the memory goes from
2214 effectively to 2430 effectively, which is very high.
Now it will probably not be hard to get your Core above 750,
You could definitely also get your Shaders very close to 1600,
if not above and your memory memory could easily go,
to 2400 MHz effectively, using the water cooling,
depending on your loop, how big your radiator is,
how much flow, what size piping it comes with.
It's really gonna depend but you can get some really high numbers.
Now let me also show you what comes in the box.
Just in case you have both types of fittings.
You have 3/8ths and you have 1/2" so no 1/4" systems here,
You're gonna have to do with 1/2" or 3/8ths of an inch but
they give you all fittings and hose clamps for both.
And it pretty much can go with single or dual setups.
So if you're doing SLI, you have everything you need here.
You get a Audio Loop Cable, which occasionally is used,
by some people. Like I said, those 2 connectors from earlier,
those adaptors for power, in case you're using an older,
power supply and you get a HDMI to DVI Converter,
as well as a VGA to DVI Converter.
So both these are very useful. Good to going out to a TV,
good if you have an older monitor. What else do you get.
Tell you what EVGA makes awesome products.
Lifetime warranty on this stuff. 24/7 customer support.
What else, this thing is Physics ready, it's CUDA ready,
HDMI, HDCP, OpenGL 3.0 Direct X10, I mean it's got
a whole bunch of stuff that you could do with this card.
And for water cooling setups, it's ready to go,
no installation. It was installed and certified to run,
at the frequencies that they set it up for the factory overclock,
or you can take it up even further than that,
at your own discretion and it won't void your warranty.
So you gotta love EVGA for that support and for that warranty.
Awesome product. If you have any questions,
email me. I'll see you guys next time.
