I think I hear that everywhere I go.
And it's really interesting to me to be able to learn from different cultures.
My kind of career goals are to work on medical mission trips
like in the Doctors Without Borders type of program.
So that's kind of where Global Studies comes in for me.
You have a lot of different tracks that you can do within the major.
And so it attracts people who have a lot of different career interests and a lot of different backgrounds.
And so just meeting the people within the major has been really beneficial to me.

I went to Bilbao in the northern part of Spain.
And the trip was a personal choice I made because I wanted to work on my Spanish speaking skills.
And I definitely loved the culture.
I loved speaking the language.
And I still have friends from Spain that I keep up with and I hope to visit them again the in the future.
I've learned a lot from these different experiences that I had.

I would recommend a Global Studies major because it's a major that you can cater to what you want to do in the future.
So there are a lot of different options for classes within the major.
And I think that being more globally aware is a very important characteristic to have for students in this day and age.
