With sales quotes, you can offer products to your customers
according to specific terms and conditions. In this video,
you'll see how to create a new sales quote,
add products to it, and apply discounts.
Next, you'll see how to forward a sales quote to a manager for approval
and then send it to the customer.
But before we get started, it's important to note that the screens you see in this
video may not look exactly like your solution.
For example, the tabs
and the toolbar may be different.
But don't worry, the features shown in this video will work the same way
regardless.
You can create new sales quotes from either the toolbar,
or, from the Sales tab.
The only information you
need to create a sales quote is the name of the account.
If territory management is enabled
for your solution, you'll be able to
assign a territory to the sales quote.
Let's add ten thousand SmarTab tablets to the sales quote.
Now let's add an external note and tell
the customer that the sales quote will be valid for a limited time.
Let's also add an internal note to the sales team
telling them that the customer
may need additional services.
Next, you can apply a discount to the line item.
Add a row to add an additional price component, such as a coupon discount.
The amount of the discount will be twelve hundred dollars.
The price component value updates automatically.
Let's set the customer e-mail address so they receive the sales quote once it's approved.
You can also view attachments that may have been added to the sales quote
or edit e-mail text.
Now, you're ready to submit this sales quote to your manager
for approval.
You can see that the approval
status has been set to "In Approval."
Let's follow this sales quote and log in as a sales manager.
Your manager can quickly approve your sales quote from
Notifications.
The sales quote has been automatically sent to the customer.
Let's continue following this sales quote.
The customer receives the sales quote as an e-mail attachment.
The customer can now review the sales quote.
Let's say the customer rejects this quote because the discount was too low.
Notice that the progress icon changes.
You can easily create a new sales quote with updated pricing.
The new sales quote is related to the previous one, so you don't have to enter
any of the same information.
Let's adjust the pricing and resubmit the sales quote.
Let's increase the discount to two thousand dollars.
You can keep resubmitting related quotes until you win the deal.
Each time, the quote will go to your manager and automatically be sent to the customer.
Let's review a few key points:
When creating a sales quote, you can add a product, apply a discount, and add
notes to the customer and to your sales team.
Once your manager approves the quote, it automatically get sent to the customer
for review.
Finally, if you resubmit a quote,
it copies all the information from the related, previous sales quote.
