I like seeing students interested in getting local food and wanting to know where their
food comes from and how its grown. It's exciting to see younger people really starting to care
about those things.
It's a global movement to connect people to communities, food communities, real food in
the communities that is being produced by uh local vendors, local entrepreneurs local
farmers um and so we wanted to bring that connect to campus and to help students learn
about eating healthy fruits and vegetables and also where they can buy local goods in
Oxford.
When you shop at the Farmer's Market you're getting food that's been harvested probably
that very same day so it's at the peak of its flavor, nutritional value, taste
It's really important for students to know how they can participate in the local economy
and where they can find um healthy fresh foods off campus.
