Hello, I'm Adrian Nuttall and with my wife Denise, we founded the Chilli Company.
We make award-winning chilli sauces,
condiments and accompaniments.
We bought the farm in December of 2005 and after changing the address to the aptly named "Chilli Farm"
we set about preparing the greenhouses and polytunnels for growing our chillies.
We'd been growing chillies for 10 years before moving to the farm.
It all started as a hobby on the kitchen windowsill
and then moved to a conservatory and then a greenhouse and then a polytunnel
before we finally realised that we had to buy a farm
to grow the chillies on the scale that we had built up.
With a young family, it seemed like setting up the Chilli Farm was an ideal way to avoid long commutes
and staying away, which had become the norm with a previous career in IT.
After renovating the 400 year old barn and running a restaurant in there for a couple of years
we now have a much more relaxed approach, with a Deli
and more casual food, made in what we now refer to as the Bistro.
At the end of 2010, we went back to our first love and created a range of sauces from the chillies that we grow here on the farm.
It soon became apparent that these were to be a great hit
and they started winning awards for their wonderful taste.
All of our products are made using the chillies grown here on the farm
along with other ingredients carefully selected for their taste and quality.
In addition, there are no artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives used in any of our range.
