Making monster LARP. Take a doll type "Action Man".
Cover the doll clay and sculpt the shape of the desired monster.
When modeling is finished, cover the sculpture with paper tape.
Draw on the tape forms delimiting the different body parts
(head, jaw, shoulder, biceps, ...). Each piece should be approximately
the size of a large postage stamp. Assign a number to each area of this pattern.
Note then near the edge of each piece of the pattern,
which is adjacent piece
to help reassemble the pattern pieces later.
Cut each piece
with a small blade and paste all the parts on an A4 sheet.
Scan or photocopy the pattern pieces glued on the A4 sheet and
print each piece
of the pattern by applying a coefficient of expansion.
The expansion coefficient is obtained by the rule of three by dividing the
waist of the wearer of
the suit by the size of the doll.
Cut each piece of the pattern paper and see it on a sheet of foam (gym mat),
with a black marker. the patterne cut foam sheet.
Using glue liquid neoprene tube to glue the edges of the foam pieces.
Let dry at heart, then put in contact surfaces glued permanently
to paste and press each piece of his pattern while the pattern adjacent.
When the piece is glued, you get the same 3D shape
as your modeling, but much larger and hollow, allowing a man to wear it like a costume.
The foam structure may be covered with elastomer paint, or ,using neoprene adhesive
spray, heat shrinkable plastic covered, or fabric or synthetic fur.
