Reuelito: Huh, Davey
Davey: What's up Reuelito?
Reuelito: I've got a confession to make
Davey: What's that?
Reuelito: I think I fancy your darling of all hearts
I'm sorry, but it's the truth of all truths
O-OW ;<
Davey: SHE'S MAH DARLIN OF ALL HEARTS Reuelito: OMG Davey!
Reuelito: I'm gonna fight for her!
Davey: GUOOOH ;( Reuelito: That's right Davey! Whachu want?
Reuelito: GAH x_x
Ow, I'm in a lot of pain.
Davey: Ugh, it hurts...
You know what Reuelito?
Reuelito: What, Davey?
Davey: I think we should just agree to be each others' darling of all hearts
Whaddya say?
Reuelito: It's 2013, states are passing laws. I think that's all right by me. Cheers brother!
Davey: Cheers.
Reuelito: Can't get this gosh diddly doo darn thing open though~
I think I need some help~
Davey: I got ya. Reuelito: Thanks brother!
LassoBros: Cheers!
Davey: Well, what are we watching today?
Reuelito: Barkeep's got Sunny Hill's "Darling Of All Hearts" in 3, 2, 1...
Reuel: Ah, I forgot to mention that this was featuring Hareem. Not حريم but Hareem
(하림)!
Who's a fantastic floutist (flutist lol!) it seems.
Sunny Hill~ David: It's kinda reminding me of Lily Allen's "Alfie"
Reuel: Ah yea!
David: That *doo dooom doo*
Reuel: Leave it to Sunny Hill to keep up with the atypical feel. They never ride the KPOP
wave.
David: That's true.
I love the visual aesthetic. They've got 50s kinda thing going on.
Reuel: Oh, matching nails for a matching icing that she just doesn't give a fffk about.
David: So yummy! So pop pop!
Oh! Oh it's so twangy! Reuel: I love me a twang.
Reuel: Being a southern gent myself. Southern Californian.
David: Oh~ it's so fun!
Reuel: Oh I love that part! Why, why, why, why~
David: I'm gonna guess because of the polka dotted shirts they're going for a semi polka
feel?
Reuel: Mhm
David: Polka-folk. A bit of country twang.
Reuel: Polka dots everywhere
ONE SHOT!
She's feeling down; what are you gonna do? David: Oh!
David: What is that instrument he was playing?
Reuel: That string thing? David: Yeah
David: Is that like a traditional Korean instrument?
Reuel: I dunno but it could even be some kinda Western-style string instrument.
She's going for the stripes.
Forward progress!
David: This is kinda reminding me of the movie "A Mighty Wind"
Reuel: Oh yea?
David: I don't know if any of you have seen it before, but it's a folk movie
Reuel: Aw look at her putting that "O" back into place. Aw so cute~
Oh! Do you know how she feels oppa?
Why don't you take her out on hikes?
David: I wanna go on a hike with her
Reuel: Let's have a drink!
David: Oh!
Reuel: OHHH!
David: Now we're up in the Alps! Reuel: Linedancing!
David: There's so many different combinations in this song
Reuel It's like world country. David: Mhm!
Reuel: Through a Korean lens.
Oh~ too cute
David: I wanna know who produced this or who wrote this song
Reuel: Yeah
OMG they're so adorable~
David: The 50s look is definitely a really good look for KPOP girls. Reuel: Oh~
David: Or just girls in general.
Reuel: If you could pull it off, please do!
I also love happy linedancing.
David: This beat is so infectious.
Reuel: HAAAAAAAAAAAAA~~~~
OMG SUNNY HILL~ Sunny Hill~ David: Ooohhh so cute~
David: Oh no, her face~ Reuel: Sunny Hill!
Reuel: That's all folks!
David: So good~
LALALALALALALALALALA
Reuel: WAEWAEWAEWAE nananana~
OMG I love it Sunny Hill!
David: So good.
Reuel: So refresh.
David: I think that now after seeing Sunny Hill's previous video "Love Actually" and
this one, they're definitely one of my favorite groups to watch.
Reuel: Agreed.
David: They're super original though, that's what I really appreciate about this song.
And I've gotta say, their country version is way better than the 4Minute subgroup's
country version.
Reuel: Oh, uh...
David: See, we can't even remember their name...
Reuel: I know it in my head! David: 2YOON
Reuel: 2YOON, there you go.
It was cute, catchy but definitely felt a little forced on 2YOON's part.
David: It's not any fault of the performers but, Reuel: Yea
David: This song is just more well-written.
Reuel: Yea and uh, we had the subs on for this one, I won't lie.
Thanks LOEN Entertainment for putting the subs on. It helped a lot!
David: Subtitles!
Reuel: And you know, it's just another story of a girl getting over the oppa that just
can't take care of her right. And guess who can?
Though?
David: Premium!
Reuel: Song rating?
David: Definitely a 5. I really liked that it jumped between different kinds of folk
music.
Like at first it kinda sounded like country-western, and then it had a polka vibe. And then it
kinda went German yodelling I guess?
Reuel: Yeah, Hareem really delivered with all those instruments. David: Yea
David: I really wanted to know what he was playing too.
Reuel: That string instrument. David: Like if they were Eastern instruments, like Asian
instruments?
Or if they were from India? Hopefully someone can tell us because I'm really interested.
I've never seen anything like that before -- especially like how he was winding it?
Reuel: Oh yeah, you're right!
Reuel: Another instrument that stood out was that flute because I thought of Spongebob
HAHAHA
It was cute; oh Spongebob OMG~
David: A lot of like, really playful stuff in this song.
I thought it was interesting. KPOP songs are catchy in general. You wanna dance along to
them.
But, for some songs they don't really make me dance.
I'll be like "Yeah, this is a catchy beat" Reuel: Yeah
David: But this one, I couldn't help but just bomp around~ you know?
I guess it's just that folksy vibe, you know? It's just straight into our hearts and minds
as human beings.
Reuel: Southern gents.
Music video?
David: A strong 4.5 to 5.
Reuel: Yea I think it was a good 4 for me, mostly because of the sets.
It could've felt a little more rustic, you know, with the music. It was a little too
clean and like KPOP production-level.
Which was cool, but I think when you go south, you go south I think.
David: I kinda disagree with that. I liked the 50s vibe that they had. I think it worked
really well with the song.
I think if you go "too south" it's gonna end up like 2YOON where it seems like they're
trying really hard?
But with this one it was like, just a really interesting combination of a bunch of different
things that just came out really nicely.
Reuel: They were definitely put together really well. The girls were top form in terms of
looks and the levels of energy were just wwwa~
David: They seem like girls that don't take themselves too seriously, like that seems
what their image is like.
David: I like that.
Reuel: It's so hot. Lawd it's hot
David: I'm sweating Reuel: Sorry, I keep wiping my face
David: I got the vapors~ Reuel: I got the vapors too~
David: I gotta unbutton my...
Reuel: What happens if you click this video?
I guess something like this?
David: Probably. Reuel: You know?
David: But what happens if you click this video?
Or you know, you could just subscribe!
Cheers, and we'll see you next time~
