The great aviator and adventurist Amilia Earhart said:
The most effective way to do it
is to do it
Now this is kind of a funny obvious quote but despite being obvious it's not
superficial.
There's profound, deep wisdom to be found in this quote.
Especially if you are a person who wants to get things right.
Do you have high expectations? Do you want things to be perfect?
And does your perfectionism sometimes hold you back
from actually getting things done?
Yes, Elvis Presley could have been a better singer.
And Muhammed Ali could have been a better boxer. And Gustave Eiffel could have been a
architect
But if these people would have spent their time practicing perfectionism
there would have been no King of Rock'n'Roll
there wouldn't have been "The Greatest" in boxing and there would be no Eiffel tower
Bill Gates could have
written better software,
Steve Jobs could have designed a better smartphone,
Marc Zuckerberg could have
created a better social network.
But they didn't. They "just" made it good enough to succeed.
If you are a perfectionist, you have to defeat inaction with attitude.
Stop second guessing and start doing.
Stop waiting for the right moment, because the present, this moment,
right now - is the only time you got. Don't overthink, because it's as simple as
