I have never felt it was boring to go to work,
but I have had that feeling with other employers,
so I think this is my thing.
Today we have two niches: tools and open source,
that we do really, really well.
Eclipse is one of the environments we are extremely experienced with,
and have unique expert competence.
Not only from a Swedish point of view, but also looking at Northern Europe.
Open source is what many perceive as free-of-charge software,
but it is really open software that one may change and develop.
Today open source is mentioned on a daily basis, in almost any magazine,
as a an alternative to save money and cut costs.
We see it as a route to increase the pace of innovation
and thus increase earnings, by being able to add more functions to one's products.
This company has 4 values, that we have stressed over the course of our journey.
we are "happy-cocky", we are open and honest, front-runners and a little bit better.
In a group project we have visualised these values.
This is "happy-cocky".
The biggest one says: "The World's Most Humble Company",
the next one says: "The World's Best Company"
and the last one says: "The World's Most Handsome Company".
I like it here very much.
There is an atmosphere and a mood that suits me really well.
Purple Scout delivers what we promise,
and we don't mess things up with fancy sales jargon.
It is very fascinating to me that we have so many different types of people.
We are quite big, having 50 people on board. Not huge, but not tiny either.
To be able to offer a full package to our clients.
we have developed a low-cost option,
We have achieved this by finding a partner, .
that were brought to our attention by our owners, the Sesca Group.
We have found a Roumanian company that we have worked with for many years now
and that has grown to be a very intimate relationship.
Today, open source is needed to keep up with the competition,
It is difficult to develop, or buy components, at the pace, that new innovations and
possibilities arise in the open source landscape.
Now we have a complete picture.
We have the expert consulting or expert services in the front.
We have the project delivery organisation with a low cost option.
That's a total package,
and we do it all damn well.
