I'm asked very often what cables can be used with the Kaossilator and MiniKP
That is, the MiniKP...
...and the Kaossilator
So I'd answer these questions today
Here are a couple of cables I use
The first cable I am going to show you...
each end looks like this - red and white plugs
Mine is black instead of white,
but it's usually white.
Both ends of this cable is the same
This kind of connector is called RCA
At the back of your Kaossilator or MiniKP,
you will find the RCA ports there
This can help you connect, say the miniKP to the Kaossilator
In that case, the cable will run out from the back of the Kaossilator
and into the Line In on your miniKP
Here's another cable to look at
What if I want the audio from my computer to go into the MiniKP?
I can use this cable
Which is RCA on one end, and 3.5mm jack on the other
This 3.5mm connector is the same as what you have on your earphones
This can then plug into the earphones jack on your computer
And the other end goes into the Line In at the back of your miniKP
You can also use this cable to connect the Kaossilator to the miniKP
and of course the other end goes to the Line In on your miniKP
Another cable you can use has the 3.5mm connector on both ends
Plug the 3.5mm end of the cable into the earphones jack of the Kaossilator
If you want to record your mix or your Kaossilator session, you can use this cable
Plug the 3.5mm jack to the bottom of your Kaossilator
and the other end goes into the Line In on your computer
If you have software like audacity, you can then actually record your mix
Now, I have my own way of setting up my cables
You can do it differently
For instance you could record your mix without a 3.5mm cable like I showed you
Instead you can use this cable
RCA on one end, 3.5mm on the other
You can have it run out of the RCA connection at the back of your unit and into your PC
There are actually many ways you can set up your cables
So you actually have a lot of choice
Hope I've been a help
Practise and N-Joy!
The next cable I'm going to show you has 3.5mm on both ends
You can have it run from your MP3 player...
umm...
That wouldn't work =/
What did I use this for?
What do I have this cable for?
