Just six years old, Aurora Aksnes starts composing melodies. At the age of ten, she starts writing lyrics to accompany them. She was headhunted by her management after a performance at a graduation ceremony. Was that okay? Yes Okay That will work Here you see Aurora recording her debut album, which two producers and three record labels are eager to release. Our deadline for the album is today. Cause when the superstar, Katy Perry, with 69 million followers on Twitter linked to Aurora's video, the popularity skyrocketed. It was really nice of her to share it on her profile, and the fact that she shared it with her millions of followers obviously had a big impact on my career. I got a lot of new fans as a result, which was very nice. She's rehearsing for her upcoming shows in the US and Denmark when we let her know about another fan of hers. Björk? I'm a big fan of Björk. She's like a source of energy which young artists who share her sensitive nature can use to let out their emotions. Because her music evokes emotions, her mother managed to convince Aurora to let other people in on the magic. We can use those?! They aren't too high-pitched?! We CAN use those! AURORA's sound is the combination of all of her voices and her phrasing. One pitch higher than the other recordings perhaps? Surprisingly, it's Aurora herself who has the last say, in the industry that wants to make her the next superstar. There are many people that have to agree on the production, but in the end it's Aurora who takes control and makes the final decisions. No, not in that one. I want it to have a bit more of a rounded sound. A more tight sound like this instead: I've been bossing people around quite a lot. I find it hard to give other people the control over things I have so many ideas and opinions about. She's down to earth. For sure. And that in spite of the fact that she's been taken on what's a very unlikely adventure for an 18-year old. I went to a concert with just the two of them on stage, and the music sent shivers down my spine. Teary-eyed fans, personal messages and feedback are all things Aurora clears her schedule to deal with. I put aside around one and a half hour to reply to all those messages. Cause I get some very personal messages where people write about bad experiences and... Is it too loud for him? To Aurora, it's more important to be herself than to achieve huge success. Do you want a (gummy) frog? No thanks. Well, then I want a frog! I think you can deal with pretty much any kind of negative feedback as long as you're proud of yourself. That is the most important thing of all.
