Welcome to SpaceCraft, your go-to web building platform, designed with you in mind.
We’ve created this short video in order to give you a brief overview of how to use
our web building tool. So let’s get started!
We have four main navigation sections on our Dashboard. And it is accessible anytime at
spacecrafted.com.
At the top of the dashboard you will notice a dark grey navigation bar: this is the launching
pad to all the tools within our platform.
“Active Site” is where you will manage all of your sites and personal account information.
“Dashboard” is the main page of the tools and will help you get started on adding content
or designing the look of your template.
“Design” will allow you to edit the look and feel of your site’s template and pages.
And finally, “Content”, where you will manage the navigation and pages of your site.
Let’s start with the “Active Site” administration panel, click the arrow to drop down the admin
menu.
You can Create a New Site, manage your Account Information, Logout of the Dashboard, and
search between the sites you own or are delegated to.
You can easily navigate between the sites you manage with our “Filter site list”
search feature, just type the name of the site or domain and select the name of the
site—doing so will automatically relaunch the dashboard into the site you choose.
To create a new site, click the Create New Site button, give your site a business name,
choose a template, and you instantly have a new 14 day free trial website.
Go back to the Active Site panel and select the Account button.
Here you can manage your account information, paid subscriptions, and trial websites.
If you would like to upgrade one of your trial websites, click the blue Buy button next to
it, then choose a premium plan.
To delete trial sites, use the trash icon, then Hold the red button for five seconds
To Delete.
Now let’s get out of this panel and have a look at the design tool.
On the righthand side you will notice two tabs:
Sitewide is where changes can be made to the entire site, and Page is where design edits
will only affect that specific page. Click into a section of your page in the design
viewer and it will immediately show up in the design panel.
To save your changes, click the Save button.
There are many ways you can review your site, in the top-right-corner, click the square
preview icon to view your site in a new browser tab: or you can preview your site in Desktop,
Tablet, and Smartphone layouts directly within the design viewer.
At the bottom of the design tool, you have options to backup your design, revert to your
saved backups, and even reset to your most recent published version.
Any time you make content or design changes on your site, you need to click the publish
button for those changes to show up on your live site.
Let’s take a look at the Content section. Based on the template you’ve selected, we
have recommended pages that suit it. You can choose over 20 different types of pages that
are uniquely configured for your website. Simply drag and drop to move the sections
around.
The order of the pages also forms the order of the navigation on your website.
You can hide pages by clicking the gear icon and toggling visibility off.
Notice the page changes color when hidden which will help you to manage your live and
invisible pages.
The arrow icon turns the page into a sub menu.
Click on a page to start adding content to your pages.
When adding content to a page, hover over the area where you want to add content and
click the green plus icon, all of your content block options will appear for you.
As you start adding and editing content you will notice a blue checkmark indicating that
your changes are being saved as you go. When you turn visibility off, the content block
changes color as well.
The gear icon in the top navbar is your site’s backend settings, where you can add domains,
add new users with roles, improve your site’s SEO, and much more.
Under Connections you can add and manage third party services and integrations. We have over
30 connections that allow you to pull in content and enhance your website’s capabilities.
Going back to the Dashboard, you can always find instructional videos, site status, and
links to our online support. We recommend using the help button in the bottom left corner
where you can find answers to the questions you ask. If you need additional support email
us at support@gospacecraft.com and we will be happy to help! Thanks for watching!
