Hello there unboxer! This is Sakis Karpas in another episode of Unboxholics.
Today we will take a look at Google Nexus 7 FHD 2013, Google's latest tablet which was manufactured by Asus.
This is the 16GB Wi-Fi version. 32GB and 4G versions are also available.
In our opinion, the new color scheme of the retail package is quite better and we also like the fact that the number 7 is formed on the front side of the box.
The first thing we find inside is Google's new tablet but we'll leave it aside for now.
Inside we also found: 1. An AC Charger
2. A USB Cable
3. A Quick Start Guide and a Manual
Let's take a closer look at Google's new tablet.
The leather back has now been replaced by a soft-touch, matte back which results in a greater grip.
Aside from the sharper edges, the overall design hasn't changed at all.
The screen sensors, a VGA camera and a LED notification indicator are located on the front side.
As usual, a USB port is situated on the bottom and a 3.5mm audio jack port on the top side.
A power button, a volume slider button and a microphone can be found on the right side.
The back side of Nexus 7 2013 features a new 5MP camera and two speakers.
Display: 7 inches Height: 200mm Width: 144mm Thickness: 8.7mm
Weight: 290g (LTE: 299g)
Google has made a few hardware changes to its newest member of the Nexus family. Let's take a look!
CPU: Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait
RAM: 2GB Storage: 16/32GB (SD Card expansion not available)
Display: 1200 X 1920 pixels (Pixel Density: 323 ppi)
Battery: Li-Ion 3950 mAh
Google Nexus 7 FHD 2013 comes pre-installed with Android 4.3.0. Since we're talking about a Nexus product, get ready to enjoy the best Android experience possible.
As an owner of the previous Nexus 7, I was impressed by the overall improvement. Nexus 7 2013's new specs and the latest Android version truly offer the most smooth experience possible.
The most noticeable change is related to the screen. The brightness levels are even higher now as well as the pixel density (323ppi) which makes it the sharpest 7" tablet screen to date.
Our only complaint is that the battery can be drained quite fast.
Google Nexus 7 FHD 2013 is avalaible now for €249 (16GB Wi-Fi).
Undoubtedly, this is the best 7-inch tablet available right now in the market until the new Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 comes out, at least.
