Hello hello.
It's been a while, but today it's unboxing time again!
As you can see, right here next to me is a pretty sizable package, -
Batman Arkham Origins Collector's Edition.
This baby's brand new and just arrived from the post office. I'm a die-hard Batman fan, -
and been that for the last couple of decades.
I've read the comics, seen the films etc etc, and I simply think this is -
absolutely the best superhero of all times.
So, without further ado, let's see what we can find, -
and let's begin to unravel this virginal experience by removing -
the outer layer.
The sleeve is first to leave, and underneath... or maybe I'll first show what this looks like -
from other sides.
Kinda basic stuff, with a sturdy cardboard case under it.
There seems to tape on top of this, so let's knife it open -
like so -- and now we can finally access the precious contents.
Exciting to see what we can find. There, like that.
Let's leave the knife here if we should still need it, -
and here it comes in a nice plastic cover, the statue that I had heard beforehand was going to be pretty handsome, -
and that's what it really is.
Protected with tapes, as is usually the case with these packagings, -
let's open all the tapes, like that.
Now the halves can be separated like so.
Plastics away, -
and here inside the bag is the statue, really good-looking and of great quality.
It's really great and I think better than the one that came with Arkham City, -
this is more dynamic and has momentum, instead of just crouching or squatting.
Then we have the download codes for skins and Deathstroke challenge pack.
And of course there's the game itself in a handsome steelcase box.
Let's try to open it without scratching, that'd be a bummer.
Yeah, here we have the discs, disc one and disc two.
The embossing on the cover looks pretty good, quite nice actually.
Then we have a hardback Arkham Origins book, probably some kind of a -
an art book. Yeah.
Yep, loads of pages with character concepts and guns and so on -
I really like the look of this.
A real nice add to this. I personally like art books myself, I know that -
some think they're a useless extra, but I like this. I like to see the concepts -
and character sketches and stuff.
Then we have this Warning file, -
let's open it like so, no tape here.
And here we have the assassin agreement, wow. A "real" form.
Yeah, it says "this payment agreement is entered into as of date.. by and between Black -
Mask, who is the buyer and [own name here], assassin. Whereas, buyer wishes assassin to eliminate -
the anonymous vigilante, the target." The vigilante must be Batman then.
Here are the specifics or the contract.
So if you want to kill Batman, this helps you get the money once the bat is dead.
The we have some official announcements of Gotham City Police Department -
a real wanted poster as well as more of the official police thingies, -
personal files or info sheets or what ever they are called.
So yeah. All in all pretty tasty and quite extensive a package, -
Contents are a good value for your money, at least from a fan's point of view.
If you like the Caped Crusader you won't be disappointed with this, -
much better things than with Arkham City.
And now it's time for yours truly to turn on the device and wander away to the snowy streets of Gotham.
Thank you all for watching, until the next time. Over and out!
