IN PART TWO OF THEIR
SERIES..DOWN THE ROAD WITH THE
MUSKEGON FURY...PATRICK CLARK
AND PHOTOGRAPHER BRENT ASHCROFT
TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AT THE
TOUGHEST PART OF LIFE IN THE
MINORS...WAITING...
...
it's basically a job ...not
that exciting..whether you play
in los angeles or in brantford
you never get to see the city
you are in...things go wrong in
the hotel..meals rooms... and
that can play on the game that
night....
DAY TWO OF OUR TRIP BRINGS US
HERE TO BRANTFORD ONTARIO..SO
FAR WE'VE FOUND THAT LIFE ON
THE ROAD CONSISTS OF A LOT OF
WAITING AROUND IN BUSES HOTELS ■
AND RESTARAUNTS...JUST SITTING
AROUND WAITING TO PLAY
HOCKEY...
it's probably the hardest part
of playing in this league or in
any other...a long bus ride
thenb having to get off and
play...
it is tough..you're sitting
around all day and then you
have to play... when i wake up
in the morning and it's no
longer any fun...that's when
it's time to hang it up....
the colonial hockey league is
comprised of a lot of
characters...most who are
realistic about their hockey
future...
some may feel they are done but
i think everyone has the same
attitude to give it your all
and hope for the best..
i'm hoping to play in cleveland
but that is really as high as i
can expect to go...
i want to play in the
nhl...that is my goal...so i
will give it my best...
AND GIVING YOUR BEST ON THIS
TEAM MEANS GIVING YOUR ALL TO
HEAD COACH STEVE LUDZIK... THE
FURY WON GAME TWO BY A FINAL OF
4 TO 3...SO EVEN THOUGH THEY
HAD AN EIGHT HOUR BUS TRIP
AHEAD OF THEM...AT LEAST THEY
HAD A THREE GAME WINNING STREAK
TO ENJOY...WITH THE MUSKEGON
FURY..PATRICK CLARK EYEWITNESS
SPORTS 13...
