\f0\fs24 \cf0 Installation of a pond-less water basin on a granite tiered fountain.
It is a very simple installation. \ You need to excavate the ground about two
inches deeper, including the depth of the pond-less feature itself, which may be about
16 or 18 inches deep. \ The idea behind it is that all of the water
that splashes around the fountain will flow back into that basin. \
It's very important that you keep it sloped all the way around it. You will use a rubber
liner on the basin to keep the water clean and flowing back. \
Typically there is a screen on the basin. \
The basin itself will hold about 80 gallons of water, so autofills are not always necessary.
\ However, you can use an auto-fill very simply.
\ Most of the basins can hold about 2,000 pounds
of weight, therefore most any fountains can be installed on this feature. \
Small shims are used to level the fountain to get all of the basins flowing evenly.
\ There is a small access hole that can be used
to remove your pump for service. \ Gravel is put on to protect the rubber liner
and also to give it that finished look. It is a very simple and beautiful and elegant
installation. \ For more information and other fountains like
