>> Willy Haynes: Oh, no! Surprising news guys! Justin Bieber said some stuff he shouldnt
have said. But this time he actually admitted it!
A video clip was released of Bieber in 2011 saying a what appears to be a racist joke
that started with: (video clip)
Heres my personal rule with racist comments. Ill accept them for jokes. But only good
ones. For instance: Hey, Asian person. You cant drive! I believe this because society
has given me this baseless claim that I havent taken the time to refute. I am merely perpetuating
an unrealistic stereotype of reality because I am unoriginal.
Not a good racist joke. But a racist joke used to point out hypocrisy and ignorance?
A joke used to satirize the real world. Thats a good racist joke.
Sadly, J-Biebs didnt do that. He was just saying something he heard some other mother
huggers say. Because thats what little boys do. Repeat stuff, repeat stuff.
Bieber released a statement saying, As a kid, I didnt understand the power of
certain words and how they can hurt. I can 100% guarantee you nobody was really hurt
by this joke, except maybe thousands of Biebers African-American fans but thats it.
I thought it was ok to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but I didnt realize at the time
that it wasnt funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance.
Bieber is clearly now aware of the golden rule of comedy, if you have to explain your
joke, it probably isnt funny.
In the full clip the first person to laugh at the joke other than himself is some faceless
older woman on the other side of the room. You know your joke might be just racist if
the 50+ are laughing at it.
Bieber also stated, I was a kid then and I am a man now who knows my responsibility
to the world and to not make that mistake again. I truly believe Bieber in his claims
of manhood.
Only true men make certain decisions. I mean, yeah, he drove under the influence of narcotics
that werent prescribed to him, peed in a bucket while yelling sware words at our
42nd president and yeah he kind of just douches around the Earth sometimes but Hes got
a lot of money or something? Thats enough in todays society.
But honestly, heres my two cents on the situation. I am sick and tired of ignorance
being spewed across the ether. I look forward to one day where people can sit down with
each other and realize what we have in common not what makes us different.
Justin Bieber EVERYONE is afraid of chainsaws. I have not met one person in my entire life
that wouldnt run from someone chasing them with a chainsaw. Not a single one.
