>>Female announcer: We need your help to light this place up!
>>Male announcer: The Rochester Institute of Technology, which is a university in upstate
New York, will be coming here in March to do a nighttime photograph that you are just
absolutely going to love here at Cowboys Stadium. >>Female announcer: It’s called the Big
Shot and thousands of volunteers are needed to provide the primary light for the photo.
So mark your calendars for the night of Saturday, March 23.
>>Male announcer: Here’s how it works: the volunteers will be placed around the exterior
of the stadium where they will paint their assigned area of the stadium with light. RIT
photographers will then shoot a photo. RIT started the Big Shot project 25 years ago
as a way to teach photography students about flash photography. Since then, the project
has grown into a huge community event. >>Female announcer: This will be RIT’s second
trip to Texas. The Big Shot came to the Alamo in 2001. More than a thousand volunteers helped
light up the landmark. >>Male announcer: Now again, this will be
happening Saturday, March 23. The event is free and open to the public. Anyone who wants
to participate will be able to download a free image of that photo. So to register go
to R-I-T-dot-E-D-U-slash Big Shot. >>Female announcer: Proudly supported by the
American Medical Response of Arlington.
