My name is Barbara Esses and I do events for a living. I'm Ruthie Hecht; I'm an event planner
and I work with and for my mother. We're going to teach you the do's and don'ts for the perfect
wedding. We live in a world full of bling. It's a new word. It's not a word that existed
for a very long time, but jewelry's become basic in a woman's wardrobe in the year 2011.
It's awfully nice to be able to buy real, but often we cannot. It's nice that you can
convince the groom to give you a beautiful pair of earrings for a wedding. What a nice
gift, what a nice thing to remember for the rest of your life. Other than that, one needs
to get a bunch of stuff and take it with you to the bridal fitting and also have your hair
not necessarily done but in the shape you want it to be for the wedding itself - how
you plan to wear it. And you can bring some jewelry with you. Try it on with the dress
and see what complements that most. It's extremely important to be aware that bracelets can catch
wedding gowns in general. We would not want to catch a bracelet on it cause it will pull
the fabric because they're usually fairly simple so it's a good idea not to wear bracelets
unless you can be sure it's not going to catch on the dress. Earrings are always a good choice
whether they're hanging or on the ear but again try it with your hairdo, try it with
your dress and see what pleases you the most. But by all means wear bling.
