Captial X. Very similar to lower case X only larger of course. So we're going to first
just look at the shape and proportion of the strokes and then we'll sort of fine tune it.
So the first stroke very straight, and the second stroke has that curve. It's curving
one way and then it's curving the other way see that. Now as we change the direction of
this stroke we also change the slant of the letter. So, again, it's helpful to think of
fitting the X into a parallelogram that has a slight slant. So here that's the box. I'm
not recommending you do this for every X you ever write, but I think sometimes when you're
getting started it helps you to quantify what you're doing. A couple of other points that
the cross of the X is just above the midline. This is the midline for the letter, the mid
height for the letter, the cross is slightly above. So we have a little less space here
and a little more space down there.
