Greetings fellow nerds.
Back in December of 2009 I showed how to make green glow in the dark powder
and I said i would keep working on it.
That research has been ongoing
but recently I've been able to acquire some high purity calcium nitrate tetrahydrate.
If we swap out the strontium nitrate of the original synthesis,
and instead use 590mg of calcium nitrate tetrahydrate,
then we create this new powder that now glows blue.
As you can see, it's a pretty distinct color from the previous green powders,
and it lasts about as long.
Anyway, that's how you make blue glow in the dark powder.
