I am IFBB Pro Figure athlete. IFBB stands for
'International Federation of Fitness and Bodybuilding'.
And in the Figure class I am a professional athlete.
That means that you've earned enough points in competitions on an amateur level
that you get a Professional status.
I am one of the two athletes in The Netherlands who have a professional status in Figure.
That's me.
This picture was made backstage at the Dutch National Championships.
"You look very different on that picture."
Yes that's true.
I had tanning oils on for the competition, and I had to lose a lot of body fat.
On competition stage it has to be a little more...
extreme than normally ofcourse. Here you see me right on stage, posing for the judges and for the entire audience.
You see visible round curves and muscles, also on my legs.
Everybody has those muscles.
But you can't have too much muscle in the Figure class.
That is more how bodybuilders present thermselves on stage.
I only train three times per week, at home or in the gym.
And then I actually train only 30 minutes to 45 minutes max.
And after that it's all about resting and eating well. You really don't have to
hang around in the gym all day.
The moment I seriously took a step further in fitness was when I walked into a gym
in Miami and saw a feminine bodybuilder training there.
She is a superstar competitions and has won the biggest shows. I thought:
'Wow those roundings on all the right places are amazing to achieve, in lesser size'.
She told me
there are also Fitness and Figure competitions.
And I thought: 'Wow I would love try and see
how far I can bring it and if I can also win those competitions'.
A lot of women are scared to touch any weights, because they think:
'I don't want to look too muscular'.
'I don't want to look like a bodybuilder'. But that doesn't happen
at all.
When you train with weights you only make your own muscles stronger
and more full. Loose skin and flabby muscles actually go away. And that is
precisely what people do want.
I have a website, it's called www.easy3method.com.
People don't always want to go to the gym. Sometimes they don't
feel comfortable to go to the gym or can't afford it.
So I help them by showing how to do awesome workouts
at their own home
and with tips and advice about delicious fatburning meals.
I personally guide them through the process
and inspect closely how it goes:
Does the transformation go easily, and where is it difficult? Is there something the person in question doesn't like to eat?
Then I change it up for them. If you want to look amazing you need to
do some workouts ofcourse. And delicious fatburning meals do exist.
It's important to feel good in your own skin and feel sexy in front of the mirror.
And especially:
People don't have feel insecure about their body. It's not just about how you look,
but also about feeling great
and having a happy life.
That comes from being happy with yourself.
