I am standing in this Presidential election because I want to do for community spirit,
for enterprise and for job creation what Mary McAleese has done for peace.
The greatest challenges facing this country right now, are unemployment and emmigration
and the devastating affect that they are having on our communities.
For the last three years I have met thousands of people in every part of Ireland, who's
lives have been turned upside down because of this recession.
We all know someone who has been affected, someone who has lost a job, their home and
worst of all their peace of mind.
I want our next President to be somebody who can restore pride in this great country. I
want someone who can encourage and motivate our communities everywhere, and above all
I want someone who can show real leadership and help get this country back on it's feet.
I want to be that President.
I am not a politician but I do believe that I am the only candidate in this election who
has the real life experience to help tackle and address these pressing issues.
I started my career in agriculture and farming. I have worked as a youth and community worker.
I have been a public servant and I have been an entrepreneur.
At birth most people can do 10,000 things, I can do 9,000 because of my visual impairment,
but I have focussed all my life on the things I can do.
People now want to elect a President who can identify with them, and be the voice and face
of a modern Ireland. I can be that President.
If you vote for me on October 27th, I will be a President that you will be proud of,
and I promise that I will dedicate my term and my energy to work with you, and your community
to help restore confidence but above all to help make this great country great again.
