How to make the perfect Fly Trap

Hello and today i have a super simple and easy DIY fly trap
that you can make at home with recycled products. And we just need three items. We need
two drink bottles
and a knife. So grabbing one drink bottle
and kids make sure you get your parents to do this please
just make an in cession around three quarters of the way up
and we are going to make a small hole.
make sure its not to big
next grab our second drink bottle and what we are going to do is cut the top off.
just as simply as that
and grabbing our other bottle with the whole three quarters of the way up
with our spout we are going to stick that right in
just like that
I have put some water in the base and if you leave here in
Australia i have added a teaspoon
of vegemight
Basically what it will do after a few days in the sun
the yeast will start to breakdown
thats actually what attracts the flies or for other countries you can put in a little raw meat
and over a few days that will break down
and create a smell and that will attract the flies
just don't have it to close to a
window or door
and how it works is the flies enter through the side
here and they will naturally try to escape
by going up
so ninety nine percent of the time
they won't go back out through the side
because thats just how their minds work. So once their in there
their trapped and will fall into the liquid and die.
and as it starts to fill up you can add a little more liquid to about a quarter the way up
and once you have filled it up as much as you can
just simply throw it into the bin.
but something this size will catch thousands of flies
So that is a fantastic way to take out flies
in your garden and around the house without and harsh chemicals
and the best part is it is dirt cheap.
