In addition to keeping yourself safe, you want to make sure that you're keeping your
items safe, so supplies like bubble wrap and newsprints and plastic bags are all going
to help keep your items safe. Plastic bags are good for breakables, one, it provides
an extra layer of cushioning, and two, it provides a container so that if something
does break then it's contained and you won't cut yourself when you're reaching into the
box to get it. You also don't want to wrap things like porcelain, for instance, in newspaper
that has print on it because the newspaper print could bleed onto that porcelain, so
that's just something else to think about when you're packing. Also label any boxes
that have fragile items in them "Fragile", I like to do that in a different color than
the black marker that I'm writing the contents of the box on the box in. Pack heavier items
on the bottom of the boxes and this helps stabilize the boxes so that when you're moving
them in the truck they have less of a chance of toppling over.
