Hey everyone!
(Douglas Jen - Guitar) Here again shooting the new SupreMa videoclip...
The song we chose this time was "Fury and Rage"... a very special song for us.
We had to pick an also special place for this occasion.
We had to pick an also special place for this occasion. We chose a city that people here in "ABC" know real well... actually it's a neighborhood in Santo Andre, it's not a city per se.
So it's the district of Paranapiacaba,
it's a district full of legends, stories of the workers...
That's it, we're here walking in the sun all day long,
we're ready, here's the crew, this is our actress Mayra (Mayra Moura), this is our make up artist (Adriana Queiroz)...
and that's it, another SupreMa production that we're preparing for you with all care, dedication, showing you this making of,
showing what's happening behind the scenes, you've seen a few images already and you'll see a little bit more...
and that's it. Another SupreMa videoclip... I hope you like these images.
So this a village actually colonized by Portuguese and British, back there you can see a Big Ben replica.
Also there's a real interesting fact...
here as you can see there are lots of railroads, so...
number "4" actually isn't written the way we are used to seeing number "4" in roman numbers.
To write number "4" they write four bars really, the same way you can see on SupreMa's clock
and this is a curiosity... they started using that here because
they had the time schedule of the trains
and sometimes when the train driver would look in the mirror he would mix up number VI with number IV
o he didn't know the correct time and that caused a few accidents,
collisions, for mixing up IV and VI.
So uh... that's a curious fact... and people sometimes look and say
"ah they're writing it wrong" but no, there's really a reason.
and this place is really nice... we learn a lot here from the city's history
and the sights here are wonderful, you see... surrounded by green...
so we went on a hunt to find a place with a beautiful landscape
and that also had that kinda mystical, legends thing going on.
Fury and Rage is a very strong song because
Fury and Rage is a very strong song because it's kinda about the person experiencing a fury attack against herself
so there's this legend of her possessing herself and things like that
and...that's it. And this is a city where people come to camp, people come to hike, the sights are wonderful,
you'll see it in the final work... we'll show you every step.
We keep walking here...
actually we're almost ghosthunting here.
There are so many legends that we were even discussing if maybe we'll be able to capture one with those lenses...
ultra... whatever... I don't know what is about those lenses...
later the directors will tell you more about it.
We're walking here...
you can see streets are very narrow and it makes for a very scary feel.
So we're waiting for the crew to come down.
Scene 01 - Walking the streets in a small town, Serena feels something is wrong...
When you're out in the streets, something could always go wrong... (dogs!)
Physical exercise...
a little bit is good for you.
Scene 04 - Serena goes back home, her sweet home... but...
(Raphael Mattos - director) My name is Raphael Mattos, I'm here today directing SupreMa's videoclip for the song Fury and Rage, which is a very visceral and heavy song
and to reflect that on the script we picked a girl from a small quiet town
and we put her in a situation that she did not expect, where she'll have to take very heavy action
to get out of it alive. You'll check it out, it's going to be awesome for sure.
On the master-shot, we filmed something very "camera in hands", something with a lot of movement, a lot of angles, a lot of action
and we also wanted to reflect that on the film, which is a horror story, something very intense
so there'll be a lot of camera in hands, lots of movements, lots of fast cuts,
it's a very cold video regarding lightning, it's a very horror videoclip
it even starts during the day but the majority of it is nocturnal, it's a clip with very cold lightning
and the actress provided us something great because she
has that intensity, we made her run all day long today, she ran all over the place
and she's responding well, right now she's in make up, she's even here, close to me...
in a few, you'll see Serena going absolutely nuts, dude.
Then you'll see what terror is.
Scene 05 - When Serena enters her sweet home, her shelter, she falls into a parallel world and now... she's possessed!
(Rafael Marques - Director of Photography) Hey folks, I'm Rafael Marques, I'm here doing photography in the movie... directing photography...
and guys, this videoclip was very peculiar here for us that... man...
it's kinda like a war to shoot this... we're filming most of the scenes at night
and man, for this we had to get LED equipment, LED lights, lightning is awesome here for us,
we're using a camera that gives us good resources for that..
*** great lenses that...
guys, this here you'll see being used in very few places.
So guys we're already here in the night scenes,
you can see here the night filming set,
the crew, the more ghastly scenes!
